A few short paragraphs describing the author and purpose of mbne.net

About the Author

Hej! My name is Martin, Iā€™m a Systems Engineer based in Denmark. Thanks for visiting my blog site, it's appreciated!

I've been in IT and networking for around 15 years, working in several locations across Europe for vendors like Cisco, some regional Cisco partners and several public/private sector organisations.

I've worked in various disciplines, from IT Admin to Solutions Architect and several positions in between. In those capacities I have both led and supported projects with a focus on enterprise network design, network engineering, security and wireless technologies.

I'm CCNP Enterprise and CCNP Security certified, whilst holding specialist certifications in Enterprise Core, Enterprise Advanced Routing, Enterprise Design, Security Core, Security Identity Management Implementation and Network Security Firepower. Right now, I'm focused on the CCIE Security lab exam.

About this Website

First things first - I'm no expert. Networking is complex, and the industry is fast paced. Over the years I've taken many (many!) notes when working on projects for my clients or studying new technologies and certifications. I refer to them often and find them useful - so as a small contribution to the excellent networking community that exists online, I want to share them with you too.

mbne.net has three general goals:

  1. Post my study notes - for certifications I'm working on, to both help me reinforce learning and hopefully help others who are on the same journey.

  2. Post occasional 'Tech Notes' - on different topics in the Security, Enterprise and Network Design areas, covering technical concepts, design challenges, emerging network technologies or new solutions.

  3. Share community content - blogs, social media links, vendor references and other useful information I've found online that I think could be useful to you.

The networking community has some extremely talented and knowledgeable people who contribute excellent content for everyone to learn and grow as networkers.

In that spirit, whether you are new in the field or an experienced professional, I hope my own contribution helps you in some way, however small. If it does, then this place has served its purpose.

Thanks for visiting mbne.net!
